My roots are in making ladies hats, six years ago I began felting. Felting artsy wool hats led me to purchase a crazy batt off Ebay. I was smitten. Going from predictable roving to this wild thing was an awakening! I have since learned the batt was loaded with locks....flash forward. I bought a carder in late 2008, thinking I would card batts for felting. Little did I know, I had a flair for it! My gift for color used making my hats translated. Just as I dyed my straw hats, and silks for flowers.....I am now dyeing a myriad of wools. To my amazement, I found myself opening a second Etsy shop. I set about recreating that amazing textured art batt I'd bought off Ebay years before. I've been recreating it ever since!
Of course the carder was a gateway drug....I quickly became the owner of two spinning wheels. Art yarns now abound....that's a fun story for another day.
