Catawampus Farm is in central Maine, near the western hills.
We have a small flock of white and naturally colored angora goats and offer our mohair in soft yarn blends, roving, batts and locks. Our goats live active, happy goat lives. This means you may find a little native Maine vegetable matter in our mohair.
We hope this will make you smile and picture a happy goat, knee deep in clover.
Our own yarn and roving is processed at a small local mill, and we use Maine-raised wool or recovered mill fibers for blending.
Fine mohair is so silky and soft! It gives yarn a lovely halo, sheen, softness and strength.
We also offer “Special Delivery” Yarns, in handpainted skeins.
A portion of the profits from these sales supports midwifery care in the state of Maine.
